How to crochet star keychain with bow

This star keychain with bow crochet pattern is the PERFECT pattern when you want to crochet but wanted something short and doesn't take long to finish. It's perfect for beginners and it took me 1 hour to finish. Not only is this little star incredibly quick but it’s also the ideal introduction to shaping amigurumi. I also provide a video down below in case you need extra guidance! I kept the steps clear and simple so that anyone, even if you’re picking up a hook for the very first time. Have fun and happy crocheting! <3

✿  Star keychain pattern ✿

Round 1: In a magic ring, make 6sc

Round 2: Inc x 6 <12>

Round 3: (Inc, 1sc) x 6 <18>

Round 4: 1sc, (Inc, 2sc) x 5, Inc, 1sc <24>

Round 5: (Inc, 3sc) x 6 <30>

★ Repeat this part for every star point:

Round 1: 6sc, and mark the two stitches that you haven’t worked on. For a detailed instructions please refer to this part of the video (07:54)

Round 2: Ch1, turn your work, skip, 5sc

Round 3: Ch1, turn your work, skip, 4sc

Round 4: Ch1, turn your work, skip, 3sc

Round 5: Ch1, turn your work, skip, 2sc

To fasten off, ch 1 and cut.

Then, in the next stitch where you haven’t worked the above steps yet attach your yarn by chaining 1. Insert 1sc in the same st. Then continue making 5sc so at the end you will have 6sc just like the Round 1 for the star point. Then just continue R2 - R5.

★ Once you have 5 star points, insert 1sc in each stitch:

Round 1: Attach your yarn at the top of the star point by chaining 1. Then, in the same st insert 1sc. Next, continue inserting 1sc all around. Finish off with a sl st in to the first sc and fasten off. For reference (11:21).

Repeat all the steps to make one more star piece. In the end you will have 2 star pieces for the front and back.

Sew the front and back piece together while making sure all the stitches are aligned. If you don’t weave in the excess yarn from making the star point, make sure to hide all the ends inside of the star while sewing. Before sewing it closed make sure to stuff your star. For reference on this step (17:37).

Now all you need to do is weave in the excess yarn from sewing and make a keychain ring using yarn (20:44) or use a keychain and put it on top of the star.

You’re done! <3
