How to crochet a cute mushroom keychain/charm
This little mushroom keychain is one of those projects that’s simple, cute, and easy to make!! It adds a soft touch of charm to your bag or keys without feeling too loud or over-the-top. In this blog, I’ll guide you through the steps to crochet your own mushroom keychain which is quick to make, and perfect if you want a small project. Whether it’s for yourself or a friend, this tiny mushroom is a nice way to add a bit of personality to your everyday things. Let’s get started 🍄

Watch the video below and crochet along with me! I recommend you watch the video while keeping the pattern open to make your crocheting process easier! <3
✿ Notes
‣ Remember to placed a stitch marker in the 1st stitch of each round. This will help you identify when each round starts / ends.
‣ You will work in a continuous round so you don’t have to make a sl st.
‣ I recommend using invisible decrease to make it look neater.
‣ This pattern uses US terminology.
‣ Number of stitches indicated between <xx>
✿ Materials
1. 4-ply yarn
2. 4.00mm crochet hook
3. Stitch marker (or you can use bobby pin/paper clip)
4. Darning needle
5. Keychain (If you don’t have one, I showed an alternative at the end of my youtube video using just yarn)
6. Scissors
★ The yarn and hook size is totally up to you. You can adjust them accordingly.

Cap
★ I’m using a white yarn
Round 1: In a magic ring, insert 6sc <6>
Round 2: (Inc) x 6 <12>
Round 3: (Inc, 1sc) x 6 <18>
Round 4: 1sc, (Inc, 2sc) x 5, Inc, 1sc <24>
Round 5-7: 1sc in each st, sl st <24>
Ch1 and leave a long end for sewing.
Stem
Round 1: In a magic ring, insert 6sc <6>
Round 2: (Inc) x 6 <12>
Round 3-4: 1sc in each st <12>
Round 5: (Inc, 1sc) x 6 <18>
Round 6: (Dec, 1sc) x 6 <12>
Round 7-8: 1sc in each st <12>
Round 9: (Inc) x 6 <24>
Round 10: 1sc in each st, sl st, ch 1 and fasten off <24>
Now, all you need to do is join the cap and stem together by sewing it. When sewing, you will insert your needle through the centre of both st. Just repeat until the end. Once you’re done, sew on some spots on the mushroom and add your keychain. If you don’t have a keychain I showed an alternative on the video using just yarn (18:47).
Yay! You’re finished! I’m so proud of you <3 Enjoy your new mushroom keychain!!
